Why Fast Results Suck

“Drop 10lbs. of fat in just 2 weeks!”
“Lose 4 inches within the first month!”
We’re heard them all before. The results sound attractive and the time frame is very convenient. But what really stops us from reaching our goals? More often that not, we tend to overlook the methods that lead to the results, and instead focus only on the results.
When we focus solely on the outcome (the quick results), we overlook the strategies that induce the changes and run into issues maintaining our newly developed results. Results and changes are certainly possible in the short-term, but often lack long-term compliance.
If our focus is not on consistency, we are willing to try anything to produce results.
The focus needs to be placed on consistency of using the methods, the habits, and the strategies that yield results and changes. Once a person practices the good habits that bring about weight loss, fat reduction, and metabolic activity, their able to be consistent will determine their long-term success.
If you’re focused on fast results, it’s not likely you’ll be able to maintain any results that occur.
Manage Your Behaviors
Focus on mastering the method(s) that will lead to results.
Example:
If your goal is retain less water, your focus shouldn’t be on the aesthetic changes that happen with proper hydration. Instead, your focus should be centered on drinking the daily amount recommended to stimulate proper hydration mechanics.
Extreme dietary and fitness programs produce quick results, but are not realistic to maintain.
Daily habits done consistently produce life-long results.
Fast results suck.
Focus on your automatic behaviors and you’ll maintain your health without much effort.
